Back for its second year, Springsessions 2012 will gather some of the brightest minds from around the world in the digital space to deliver talks on electronic art, design and technology. It is part of Springfestival, which captures the Music - Zeitgeist with a diverse lineup of DJs, live acts and upcoming talent playing on 4 days at numerous venues across the city of Graz.

Tickets are on sale in our online Ticket Store, with deals ranging from discounted student offers to all-in-one packages which cover both Springfestival and Springsessions.
Dates & Schedule
3 Days (Opening Day - Wednesday May 16th, Thursday May 17th and Friday May 18th).
The programme will kick off at 12.00 and finish at 18.15, with each session taking around 1h with 15 min breaks in between.

The inaugural edition of Springsessions
In 2011, 12 digital innovators from all over the world came together for the inaugural edition of Springsessions. They presented their work in a relaxed atmosphere and mingled with attendees. With 11 years under its belt, springfestival has emerged from the Noughties as one of the leading and most cutting-edge European festivals. During the day some of the brightest minds in the digital space deliver talks on electronic art, design and technology at the festival’s Springsessions conference. During the night springfestival captures the music Zeitgeist with a diverse line up of star DJs, acclaimed live acts and up and coming talent, playing for 4 nights at stunning venues and urban spaces across Graz.

The Design Month is one big show case, concentrating on the creative energy, sampling and presenting the products and achievements of local designers under the label "Design Month Graz".
Creative people of all branches work intensively on concepts, drafts and realizations for events, exhibitions and panels, that will involve the public into various design activities.

Graz is a millenial city boasting a rich historical and cultural heritage, a multicultural population, an abundance of historic sights, museums and galleries, and a couple of swanky titles including UNESCO World Heritage Site, UNESCO City of Design and Cultural Capital of Europe.

Graz is the first Austrian City of Design! On 14 March 2011 the Director - General of UNESCO in Paris, Ms Irina Bokova, officially announced the inclusion of Graz into the international network of creative cities.
